Itinerary -


Day 01

Check into the camp & relax in the beautiful environs. Post lunch we will drive down to Marine Drive and after a briefing on rafting techniques by the instructors we will raft down till Shivpuri. This is an 8 kms stretch and has Class II+ rapids. This is great for beginners and for a good warm up run for something more difficult. We will today be rafting through rapids like Three Blind Mice, Crossfire, etc. There will also be ample opportunities to swim in the river. After the rafting drive back to the camp for bonfire & dinner by the riverside.

Day 02

After breakfast, pack up your stuff and then drive down to Shivpuri and from here we will begin to raft down to Rishikesh. There are a number of Class II and III rapids including Return to the Sender, Roller Coaster, Golf Course, Clubhouse, Initiation, Double Trouble, etc. and you finally end the trip just before the Lakshman Jhoola in Rishikesh. From here return to the camp in Kaudiyala for a late lunch. Post lunch, relax by the river or one can set off on a hike through the surrounding forest. In the night, bonfire and dinner by the riverside.

Day 03

After breakfast, head out for a session of Rappelling under the supervison of our instructors. Post this activity, depart for your onward destination.
OR
If you are looking for more whitewater, we could go on another thrilling ride down the river through some bigger rapids (Class III+) like Daniel’s Dip and The Wall. These are some big rapids and are sure to satisfy any craving you have left for whitewater!! Complete the rafting trip at Marine Drive and continue to your onward destination from here.

How to Reach

By Road:

You could drive yourself from Delhi to Kaudiyala as there is a good road that connects Delhi to Haridwar & Rishikesh and beyond. For the drive, you would use the following route:
Delhi - Ghaziabad - Meerut (bypass) - Muzaffarnagar bypass - Roorkee - Haridwar - Rishikesh - Shivpuri - Kaudiyala
From Delhi one could get to Haridwar/Rishikesh by a coach. These coaches depart from the Delhi ISBT terminal and are available all through the day until 11:00 pm. They take about 5-6 hrs to reach Haridwar/Rishikesh and cost about Rs. 300 per person.
From Haridwar/Rishikesh bus stand you would get a number of local buses and shared jeeps going on the Badrinath highway. You could request the driver to drop you off at Kaudiyala (in front of the camp) which is on the main highway itself.
We could also arrange a private transfer for you from Delhi/Haridwar to Kaudiyala. The following would be the costs:


By Air:

Dehradun is now well connected to Delhi and Mumbai and the list of connections is growing daily with regular flights from all over the country. From Delhi there are close to 8 flights that operate during the day starting with the first flight at 9:55 am and the last flight at 3:30 pm. Fares begin at Rs. 3200 per person. From the airport, we could arrange a private transfer to the camp or you could use any of the above modes of transport from Rishikesh. For travel between Dehradun and Rishikesh (15 kms), there is a prepaid taxi stand outside the airport and they charge Rs. 550 for the transfer. On the return also, there are flights available all day with the last flight departing at 4:30 pm.


By Rail:

Haridwar is well connected to all parts of the country by rail. For cities that are not directly connected to Haridwar, one could come to Delhi and then take any of the trains to Haridwar that run all through the day. Once in Haridwar, you could take any of the mentioned road travel modes, mentioned above, to Jayalgarh. Given below are some of the train connections between Haridwar and Delhi.

BASE FOR THE TRIPS: CAMP GNH< KAUDIYALA

The camp is located on a sandy beach on the banks of the River Ganges at Kaudiyala. The camp has basic but comfortable facilities in Swiss tents keeping in line with eco-tourism policies that are in effect in this region. There is a hygienic sanitation area in the camp with dry pit toilets and separate shower tents. Fresh and nutritious food is prepared in the camp itself and is served in a dining area bang on the riverside.
